CyberKnight Signs up as Checkmarx’s Middle East Distributor

According to Gartner “by 2023, 90% of web-enabled applications will have more surface area for the attack in the form of exposed APIs rather than the user interface (UI), up from 50% in 2020. By 2022, API abuses will move from an infrequent to the most frequent attack vector, resulting in data breaches for enterprise web applications.” Nowadays, organizations require application security technologies that are easy to deploy and provide high assurance, protection, high-value findings, without slowing down operations and overall performance.

To address customer challenges related to application security: source code scanning, software composition analysis, application security testing, and DevSecOps, CyberKnight has signed a distribution partnership with Checkmarx, a global leader in application security testing solutions for modern enterprise software development. For four consecutive years, Checkmarx has been named a Leader in the Gartner Magic Quadrant for AST.

“Application security testing solutions that address the broadening risk landscape are no longer a ‘nice to have,’ but rather a ‘must-have,’ and today, it is imperative to leverage solutions that address all components and risks within modern applications. With 15+ years of AppSec innovation, we remain committed and intensely passionate about delivering powerful solutions to serve all organizations in the Middle East and globally. Partnering with CyberKnight will enable us to accelerate our expansion plans in the region,” said Nitin Kumar Dang, Regional Country Director, India & Middle East at Checkmarx.

“The digital world runs on software, making the importance of software security undisputable. The ability to embed security throughout the software development lifecycle is essential today. Through our partnership with Checkmarx customers will have access to a comprehensive platform that will unify application security into a single platform and automatically scan uncompiled code while fixing hundreds of security vulnerabilities instantly,” commented Vivek Gupta, Co-Founder, and COO at CyberKnight.

Evanssion has announced its partnership with HackerOne to increase the adoption of the bug bounty, Pentest, and vulnerability disclosure programs across Middle Eastern enterprises. Customers can now leverage human ingenuity to pinpoint the most critical security flaws across their attack surfaces to get ahead of cybercriminals. A recent report highlights an unprecedented surge in cyberattacks across the Middle East, with a 17% increase in 2023, especially targeting critical sectors like finance, energy, and government.

As the region experiences rapid digital transformation, organizations are becoming prime targets for ransomware attacks and sensitive data breaches. Human-powered security platforms, such as HackerOne, leverage the skills of ethical hackers worldwide to offer proactive vulnerability detection that is 35% more cost-effective compared to traditional vulnerability management methods.

HackerOne is a leading provider of human-powered security solutions, with 61% of customers identifying more vulnerabilities when compared with traditional vendors. 22.75% of valid vulnerabilities surfaced in a bug bounty are high or critical, compared to less than 1% found by automated scanners, and 18% of its Pentest findings rated as high or critical severity—nearly double the industry average, demonstrating HackerOne’s exceptional ability to identify and address serious security risks.

The partnership will empower Green Circle to deliver comprehensive protection against internal threats, such as data breaches and unauthorized access. SearchInform’s DLP solutions are specifically designed to address the unique security challenges faced by organizations in the region.

“SearchInform’s solution ensures protection against corporate fraud attempts, and intentional or accidental data leaks, along with monitoring employee activities, revealing idleness during work hours, cooperating with competitors, corporate equipment theft, and much more. Our clients have been feeling the need for such a comprehensive solution for a while. Now we are providing it. Also, with this solution integrated into our managed services, customers can achieve full compliance with key regulatory frameworks in the KSA, including the National Cybersecurity Authority’s Cybersecurity Controls, the Data Governance Maturity Guideline from the Communications, Space & Technology Commission, and the Personal Data Protection Law (PDPL) issued by the Saudi Data & Artificial Intelligence Authority (SDAIA),” said Mohammad Alkhudari, Green Circle CEO.

To cater to the specific needs of the Saudi market, SearchInform has enhanced its technology with additional security policies tailored for Saudi Arabia. These policies cover sensitive personal information, including IBAN numbers and Saudi ID details, as well as corporate infrastructure data. This ensures a more thorough analysis and detection of potential risks and suspicious activities.

“The Saudi market is a very fast-growing market in terms of data protection. We are confident that over the next year or two, this partnership will lead to significant business growth. As internal threats are on the rise, it is critical for companies to strengthen their defences. Our collaboration with Green Circle marks an important milestone in elevating the overall data protection standards of KSA organizations,” commented Sergey Ozhegov, SearchInform CEO.

Both companies believe that the comprehensive DLP solution, combined with Green Circle’s managed security services, will be a valuable asset for Saudi Arabian customers.
