Forescout Launches New Risk and Exposure Management Solution
Forescout has unveiled Risk and Exposure Management, a cloud-native product aimed at consolidating all data sources associated with an enterprise’s connected assets. The solution calculates a unique multifactor risk score for each asset, offering a more intuitive and quantitative approach to risk prioritization.
In today’s rapidly evolving technological landscape, enterprises face expanding attack surfaces, making it challenging for traditional cyber asset management approaches to effectively scale and track configuration and risk posture changes for assets. To address this, the Risk and Exposure Management solution provides a unique status-over-time view for each asset, enabling security teams to leverage intuitive cyber risk intelligence and automate security workflows through the Forescout Platform.
According to Forrester, CISOs are actively seeking new approaches to attack surface management that support their teams and demonstrate to their boards the reduction of risk exposure based on security investments. The analyst firm found that 73% of security decision-makers are adopting attack surface management, and an additional 15% plan to implement it within the next 12 months.
“Enterprises require a simplified way to maintain both real-time and persistent asset intelligence for every asset – managed or unmanaged, physical or virtual, including OT/ICS, IoT devices and speciality subsets such as medical devices,” said Barry Mainz, Forescout CEO and President. “We’ve invested heavily in the Forescout Platform and the enhancements we are making with the availability of Forescout® Risk and Exposure Management provide that intelligence to help security teams effectively prove a reduction in risk posture of their enterprises’ evolving attack surfaces.”
Key Use Cases and Benefits of Forescout Risk and Exposure Management:
- Cybersecurity Asset Management: Discover and classify every device across any environment (90 days retention) to streamline IT security team operations using asset context and status trends.
- Persistent Asset Risk Intelligence: Gain situational awareness of cybersecurity risk posture based on exposure from vulnerabilities and misconfiguration with a unique multifactor risk score.
- Accelerated Incident Response: Utilize historical asset context to proactively investigate risks and respond reactively to incidents, minimizing blast radius, and reducing mean-time-to-resolution (MTTR).
- Enhanced IoT Security: Employ high-fidelity IoT classification through non-disruptive, passive discovery techniques for deployment flexibility. Identify xIoT vulnerabilities in real-time to prioritize response actions.
- Enhanced Medical Device Security: Conduct clear and concise risk assessments for connected medical devices based on known exposures, attack potential, and operational criticality. Gain insights into FDA class and recall status to ensure security without impacting patient care.
By leveraging the capabilities of Forescout Risk and Exposure Management, enterprises can obtain comprehensive asset intelligence and establish a solid foundation for cyber asset attack surface management.

Tenable Urges Organisations to Reimagine Cybersecurity at GITEX 2024
Tenable will exhibit at GITEX Global at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre from October 14 – 18, 2024. At the event, Tenable will showcase its AI-powered exposure management solutions that illuminate the attack paths that exist within organizations’ infrastructure, from IT infrastructure to the cloud, to Operational Technology (OT) and everywhere in between. In addition, Tenable will launch its 2024 Cloud Risk Report during the show.
Scattered products, siloed views and disjointed teams are struggling to hold back threats across a fragmented attack surface. The cyber risk challenge won’t be won with security strategies and solutions that stand divided. Enterprises need one view of risk across all assets, to connect the dots between the damaging risk relationships that span solution silos and bring together disparate teams with the intelligence they need to strengthen defenses and protect against attacks as one.
Tenable exists to expose and close the resulting priority security gaps that put businesses at risk. Our industry-leading exposure management platform radically unifies security visibility, insight and action across the attack surface, equipping modern organizations to protect against attacks, from IT infrastructure to the cloud to OT and everywhere in between.
“Rapid advancements in technology and digital transformation make it challenging for organizations to stay one step ahead of attackers,” said Maher Jadallah, Senior Director Middle East & North Africa, Tenable. “Security teams often have to juggle multiple clouds and identities across a converged IoT, OT and IT landscape. At GITEX 2024, we will show organizations how they can expose and close the priority security gaps that put their businesses at risk. Our team will be on hand to help visitors reimagine cybersecurity as a global force for eradicating their exposure.”
